Magnolia is one degree darker than heat-treated aspen or tar alder. The width of the material also adds to its popularity. Both panels and ceiling materials are available in a much wider width than traditional sauna materials:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Table board 28&#215;185 mm<\/li>\n<li>Wall and ceiling panels 15&#215;145 STS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Magnolia panel and board are used almost without exception in the saunas of Sun Sauna&#8217;s Relax collection. Only heat and water vapour are used in the production process. No chemicals are used in the production process. The heat treatment improves the wood&#8217;s resistance to decay and weathering, improves its thermal insulation properties and reduces moisture absorption. At high temperatures, the resin is removed from the wood. At the same time, a beautiful brown colour is obtained.     <\/p>\n<p>Magnolia is native to North America and is widely used in interior decoration, including as a decorative tree. The wood is heat treated in Finland and the Baltic countries. <\/p>\n<h2>Heat-treated magnolia in Sun Sauna<\/h2>\n<p>The following pictures are from Sun Saunas where heat treated magnolia was used.
